Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ShortsForge ("the Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that company.

1. What the Service does

ShortsForge takes a video or audio source you provide, transcribes it, selects segments, and renders short vertical clips with captions and titles. Output is generated automatically. We do not review clips before you receive them, and we do not publish anything on your behalf.

2. Your content and your rights

You keep all rights to the material you submit and to the clips produced from it. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit that material only as needed to operate the Service for you.

We do not use your content to train models, and we do not share it with anyone except the processing providers listed in our Privacy Policy.

3. What you must not submit

You are responsible for having the rights to every source you submit. You must not use the Service to process:

• Material you do not own or have permission to use
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark or another person's rights
• Content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that sexualises minors
• Content intended to harass a specific person or to impersonate someone

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, without a refund for the period in which the breach occurred.

4. Plans, credits and billing

All prices are in US dollars. One credit processes one source video into up to five clips. Credits are deducted when a video is submitted and refunded automatically if processing fails. Credits reset to your plan's allowance at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page and will keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.

5. Availability and limits

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Some sources cannot be downloaded — private, members-only or age-restricted videos, for instance — and some platforms change without notice. Where a download fails, your credit is returned.

Sources are limited by plan: 30 minutes on Free, 90 minutes on Creator, and 3 hours on Pro. Uploads are limited to 2 GB per file.

6. Accuracy of generated output

Transcription, moment selection and hook titles are produced by automated models and will sometimes be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing every clip before publishing it. We are not liable for the consequences of publishing generated output.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the settings page; doing so removes your projects and the files we store for them. We may terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that we are required to terminate by law.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
